Take Care Of Yourself and Your MatesIt is important to take care of yourself and your mates on any night out. When going to District 8 it is best to plan your journey in advance. Pooling together with friends to arrange transport will work out the best and most economical. Please reference our transport guide for options getting to and from the venue. If at any stage inside the venue you see somebody who looks like they’re having a bad time, check on them if they need further attention please get a medic or a member of staff. If you yourself are feeling unwell, please go to the medical area.Medics Are Your MatesAt any event, the medics are your mates. Medics are free of judgment so please don’t be afraid to drop into them. If you or your mate is feeling bad, go to the medical area or talk to a member of staff. Medics only want to help you, not get you in trouble so you should take note of where the medic is stationed in District 8 just in case you need one at some stage. Be honest with the medics, this can make it easier for them to help you. If you can not find a medic please talk to another member of staff. The best thing we can recommend is to avoid drug use entirely, but if you are going to use drugs, here is some essential information. We also feel that this information applies to alcohol as well.Start Low, Go SlowIreland is known across the globe as a nation of partiers. As a result, every artist in the world wants to play here. However we also sometimes have a tendency to push ourselves a little too far. Using too much or using too quickly can increase the risks. Wait a while till you know the effect before taking more. If you take too much too quickly, you might not even remember the night! Remember: Play it safe, it’s not a race.
Leave The Mixing To The DJsMixing drugs is much more dangerous than many people realise, and some combinations are worse than others. For example, some drugs increase the heart rate, while others decrease it. Some alter reality and some intensify it. Think of it as a Christmas cracker, pulling in opposite directions; It’s bound to crack eventually.
